Nag Social are a small but busy band of volunteers who work hard, (whilst having some fun), putting on events in the Kent village of New Ash Green; New Ash Green is a great place to live, and we aim to make it even better by putting on community events that celebrate our community spirit and support and celebrates local businesses, community organisations and good causes.
We are all volunteers and a "not for profit" outfit, any money we may raise goes to local good causes within the village and surrounding area.
If you would like to join us, or just happy to help out on occasions PLEASE drop us a line. There is no commitment and it is great to be involved. JUST CLICK ON THE BADGER TO LINK TO OUR CONTACTS PAGE :-)
About New Ash Green Village, (because it is a bit different!)
New Ash Green sits between Dartford and Sevenoaks and was a “Concept Village” built from scratch on green belt land in the late 60s. It is known for its some what unorthodox layout, the architectural design of houses, (particularly Span houses). Dropping an entire village in the middle of nowhere, including shops, schools, doctors/dentists and surrounding these with neighbourhoods that self govern was certainly experimental for the 60s, but it works!
There has always been that feel of community and self reliance. It is a great place to live! It has been described as like living in Centerparcs but without the swimming pool.
There is more detail about this unique village on the village on the Village Association Website it is well worth a visit!
