Village Day 2018
Village Day 2018 aims to build on the success of last year’s event where we kicked off the 50th Anniversary celebrations. This year will be bigger, better, and bring the whole community together with old favourites and exciting new additions.
Village Day will be on Saturday 7st July 2018, located on the playing fields next to the Pavilion. Timings for the event will be as follows:
Initial Setup 10:00 till 12:00
Official Start 12:30
Grand Opening 13:00
Formal Finish 17:00
We actively and positively encourage clubs and societies to take part in Village Day it’s a great opportunity to raise awareness, increase membership and raise well needed funds.

Information about food hygiene / certification:
There is no requirement for food hygiene certification for volunteer and groups at community events, the food standards agency usefully describes a requirement for a level of common sense and general hygiene. The following link may be of use: https://www.food.gov.uk/business-industry/caterers/food-hygiene/charity-community-groups
However, any stall retailing food products as part of their business must display the relevant food hygiene certificate and have in place public liability insurance if relevant. A copy of these should be provided with the pitch booking form.
