About
NAG Social are a small but busy band of volunteers who work hard, (whilst having some fun), putting on events in the Kent village of New Ash Green.
New Ash Green is a great place to live and we aim to make it even better by putting on events that celebrate our community spirit and support local businesses, organisations and good causes.
We are all volunteers and a "not for profit" organisation any money we may raise goes to local good causes within the village and surrounding areas.
If you would like to join us or you're happy to help out on occasions, please get in touch. There is no minimum time commitment and it is great to be involved.
New Ash Green - "it's like living in Centre Parcs!"
A Unique Village
New Ash Green sits between Dartford and Sevenoaks and was a “Concept Village” built from scratch on green belt land in the late 1960s. It is known for its some what unorthodox layout and architectural design of houses, particularly Span houses. Dropping an entire village in the middle of nowhere, including shops, schools, doctors/dentists and surrounding these with neighbourhoods that self govern was certainly experimental for the '60s...but it works.
There has always been that feel of community and self reliance. It is a great place to live. It has been described as like living in Centre Parcs but without the swimming pool.
There is more detail about this unique village on the Village Association Website. It is well worth a visit!
